Connecting the camera directly to a computer so photos appear on screen immediately after capture.
Popular in studios: photographer, assistant, and client see the image immediately on a large screen. Lightroom, Capture One, and manufacturer software support tethering. Via USB or, with some cameras, WiFi. Advantage: sharpness, exposure, and colour can be assessed immediately at full size.
