Reducing image noise in post-processing using software algorithms or AI.
Software noise reduction works differently from in-camera reduction: you retain the full RAW data and adjust noise afterwards. Classical methods (Lightroom sliders) work at pixel level. AI-based noise reduction (Lightroom Denoise, DxO PureRAW, Topaz DeNoise AI) reconstructs detail and gives better results at high ISO.
