Pixel shift
Technique
A camera technique where the sensor moves in small steps multiple times to combine images into higher resolution.
In pixel shift the camera takes four or more images while shifting the sensor one pixel at a time. Software combines them into one image with full colour information per pixel, increasing effective resolution and colour accuracy. Available on Sony, Olympus, Fujifilm, and Pentax. Only usable for static subjects.
