Photographing in little or no daylight.
High ISO (3200-12800), wide aperture and a tripod are your tools. Urban night photography benefits from artificial light; landscape night (stars, Milky Way) requires dark locations and ISO 6400+. Use the NPF rule for sharp stars: N = (35 × crop × 600) / focal length.
