Graduated filter

A linear mask in Lightroom that applies adjustments gradually from one area of the image to another.
Classic use: darkening the sky while leaving the foreground untouched. You drag the filter across the image; the adjustment blends smoothly from full effect to zero. Combine with a Range Mask (colour or luminance) to follow the horizon more precisely and prevent the adjustment from affecting the ground.
