A photography specialisation where food and drink are photographed for restaurants, books, or social media.
Good food photography requires soft, side or back lighting (window light is ideal), careful styling, and colour contrast in the composition. Flat lay (overhead view) is popular for social media. A macro or 90mm lens for detail. Food must look fresh and appetising; timing is crucial: ice melts, steam disappears.
