Diffuser

Diffusor · Light

A translucent material placed in front of a light source to scatter and soften the light.

Diffusers work by making the effective light source larger: the larger the source relative to the subject, the softer the shadows. Examples: translucent umbrella, frosted glass, white nylon sheet, or even a white bedsheet.
