Contemplative photography

Contemplatieve fotografie · Genres

Photography driven by feeling and presence, where technique is secondary to inner experience.

In contemplative photography you don't go out with a plan or a technical checklist. You go out with yourself. You follow what moves you, what catches your eye, what stirs something inside. The technical execution follows naturally. It's an approach related to meditation and mindfulness: being fully present in the moment, without judgment. The photograph is not the goal, but the trace of an encounter.
