Making the colours in a photo technically accurate, so that white balance and colours match reality.
Colour correction is about accuracy: skin should look natural, a white wall should appear white. Use a colour chart (ColorChecker) as a reference for accurate colours. This is the first step before colour grading. In Lightroom start with White Balance, followed by HSL adjustments.
