Bulb mode (B)

Bulb (B) · Exposure

A camera mode that keeps the shutter open for as long as the shutter button is held down.

Use bulb for exposures longer than the camera's maximum automatic shutter time (usually 30 seconds). A remote shutter release is essential to prevent vibration. Popular for star trails, fireworks, and night landscapes.
