Configurable limits for automatic ISO, within which the camera may choose the ISO value.
Set a maximum ISO (e.g. 6400) so the camera doesn't choose unacceptably high values in low light. On newer cameras you can also set a minimum shutter speed: the camera only raises ISO when the shutter speed is in danger of dropping too low. Essential for smart use of Auto ISO in semi-automatic modes.
