There is a limit to what you learn in front of your screen.
The tools on this platform are there to answer small questions quickly. When is golden hour? What settings should I use here? How deep is my depth of field? That kind of thing. Practical, useful, fast.
But there is a type of learning you cannot capture in a calculator. The moment someone stands next to you, looks at the same scene and asks: why are you choosing that angle right now? That conversation, on the street, in the moment, with a camera in your hand, changes more than ten hours of studying at your laptop.
That is exactly why, alongside this platform, I also give workshops.
Prepare first, then hit the street
Before going into a workshop, it pays to come well-prepared. Not to show off knowledge, but because you get more out of feedback when you already know what you are looking for.
The Street photography assignments are a good starting point. Daily assignments that force you to look purposefully, search for something specific, make conscious choices. They cost nothing and are a great warm-up.

Two days getting lost in Paris or London
The most intensive workshop I give is RESET. Two days of street photography in Paris or London, with a small group of maximum five people.
No study materials. No theory you could have read at home. Just kilometres of walking through neighbourhoods you do not know, while we talk about what you see, what you capture and what you deliberately leave out.
Paris is light in narrow streets and contrasts that force you to choose. London is pace and movement that finds rhythm once you know what to look for. Both cities work equally well, but feel completely different.
In 2026 there are four dates:
- Paris, 5 and 6 June
- London, 28 and 29 August
- Paris, 25 and 26 September
- London, 20 and 21 November

Closer to home, but just as practical
Not everyone needs two days and a city abroad. Sometimes you are just looking for a day of good company and a concrete assignment.
The Conceptual Street Photography Workshop is a day workshop in a small group, maximum five people. You choose which style or series you want to photograph and I put together assignments that match. Accessible for all levels.

Prefer 1-on-1?
Sometimes you simply want to do exactly what you want, without having to follow the pace of a group.
For street photography there is a 1-on-1 workshop where the location and angle are entirely tailored to your wishes. For portrait photography there is a 1-on-1 day in my studio in Wijchen, where we work on light, direction and connection with your model.

This platform exists because I had small daily questions that deserved a good tool. The workshops exist because I noticed that the biggest leaps in my own photography always happened when I was out with others.
That is not a contradiction. They are two different kinds of learning that complement each other perfectly.
